Time for a Book Launch
Drum roll please…
Riding the Waves is officially done! It is hard to believe that I have published a book, but now I can say that I have written TWO books and I couldn’t be more excited. While Roughing it in Africa was a fun travel adventure story, this book was a different beast to tackle. Not all memoirs are created equal and this grief memoir packed a punch. It is in the hands of my editor now though and is coming together beautifully. A few pictures were added, my author bio now graces the pages, and Marcia cleaned up margins, page breaks, and the Table of Contents. All that’s left is to celebrate. That calls for a book launch!
Book Launch for Riding the Waves
You can’t publish a book without a little bit of fanfare. While Roughing it in Africa was published in the middle of a pandemic, I still managed to gather a crew together for a virtual book launch and the event was fantastic. I had friends and family join in from across the globe, signing in from South Africa, Australia, Oshawa, Guelph, and here in London. It was fun having so many people able to join in, regardless of where they were located. So much so, that I have decided to do it again.
