Headshot of Katherine Krige

Welcome!

If you are at a loss for words, use mine…

This tagline resonates with me and spills into everything I do. It is on my invoices, for both Freelance Writing and Social Media Management services. It works just as well for my novels too. Wherever they are, my words help inspire adventure, entertainment, thoughtful insight, and act as a reminder that you are never alone on this journey. For many, that is exactly why they seek me out.

If you are in need of a few words for one reason or another, you are in the right place. Please take a look around to learn how I can help.

Don’t forget to leave me a few words of your own. Visit my contact page to send me an email.

About The Author

“My writing journey has been a lifetime in the making. From a young age, I wrote poetry and poured my heart into journals. With time, I added short stories along the way. I made the leap and published my first novel in the middle of a pandemic, and haven’t looked back.

Roughing it in Africa received a warm reception, thanks to my many fantastic readers. My second novel, Riding the Waves, was released at the end of 2023. And yes, I am already onto my next project. While I love playing with words, ultimately it is yours that keep mine flowing. Thank you and join me to see where all these words take us next.”

Finishing off the week with invoicing. This is what it's all about. Wracking my creativity to come up with new and interesting posts for clients. Scheduling things accordingly. And monitoring responses to see how to tweak things moving forward. I attended a webinar yesterday that focused on trauma, its impact on cognitive load, and potential steps you can take to help adults pursuing education regain their confidence and resilience. It presented some excellent tools for recognizing when people may have been impacted by some form of trauma, like negative self-talk, anger, shutting down, and an inability to focus. Some of the essential keys to rebuilding were patience, talking through the learning process, and working through problem from a variety of angles. So for example, trauma might look like those impacted by grief, loss, insufficient housing, abuse, or a whole host of other stressors. Learned behavior might be people thinking of themselves as unable to learn, repeating the same steps and getting nowhere, or giving up. But the magic happens when someone recognizes that trauma doesn't mean you are damaged and broken forevermore. Everything that happens to us impacts how we think and our ability to learn. We don't have to get stuck in loops of bad choices. Our brains have neuroplasticity, meaning with work, we can train them to see different outcomes and regrow. If you can't remember something, write it down. Make lists. If something is overwhelming, walk away to give yourself a breather, before coming back to try from a different angle. And talk through the process with a safe person. Be that safe person for yourself or someone else. We don't have to be forever stamped by the hard moments that shape our lives. While we may not be able to always prevent them, it is possible to take steps to build resilience in the aftermath. Le#traumao#healinge.#trauma #healing ... See MoreSee Less

There was a post. I feel like it was a good one. I wrote it before breakfast, didn't get a chance to post it, as I needed to add a picture, but said, "No worries. I will add a picture later, then post it."Famous last words. No draft saved. No memory of that brilliance. No picture added. And no more words (where did they go?!). Ah well. I hope your Tuesday was swell! lol#lessonlearned #alwayssavedrafts #busybee #writerslife #socialmediatips ... See MoreSee Less

It’s time to get Social!

You cannot get away from it. Whether you run a small, medium or large sized business, you are an artist, writer, or other public personality, you need a social presence. Whether that is a website, Google My Business page or any one of a number of social media apps, in order for people to find you, you need to be findable. That means taking the time to put yourself out there. In today’s world, that also means doing so on a regular basis.

If posting to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, a blog, or any other number of sites seems daunting, we should talk. Learn more about what I do and how I can help you get social and build engagement online.
